Successful PPG Coffee Morning
What an absolutely marvelous turn out. There are so many people to thank from all our of our wonderful PPG members who gave up their time today to sell raffle tickets, make coffee, collect friends and family tests, check in on all our patients, make sure the raffle went smoothly. You are all amazing a massive thank you from us all 🙂
Thank you to all our patients who turned up and supported this event, we hope that you enjoyed not only the refreshments, but also the opportunity to talk to our Doctor’s Dr. Bale, Dr. Mangham and especially Dr. Phillips who talked about our new group ‘Let’s talk about menopause’.
It was an opportunity to chat with our PPG members and learn what they do, thank you to those patients who have expressed an interest to join us.
Thank you to Sarah from armed forces outreach; it was fantastic to see so many veterans attend today. (From left to right Mrs. M Birch long standing PPG president Dr. Hilary Bale, Sarah Kerr Armed Forces Outreach & Wendy Faulkner our practice manager)

Thank you to Kate who is a healthy lives coordinator. Kate works across all 11 Shrewsbury Practices who are a part of the Shrewsbury Primary Care Network (PCN) Kate met with many of you to explain what she does in her role and was able to complete some health checks and provide patients with advice (apologies no photo)
Well done to everyone who won prizes and thank you to all who donated!
It was an incredibly successful day and it was really great to spend time with our patients, we have had a few recommendations for the next event so make sure you follow us on Facebook and also subscribe to the website.
The coffee morning raised £106.15 which will be added to the PPG fund. The fund provides items directly for the patients benefit such as books, a dignity screen, taxi fare, a hyfrecator, wheel chairs and service etc.
A special thank you to the winner of the shopping voucher who kindly re-donated it to the surgery – names of all team members were put in a hat this morning 27/01/2025 and one of our receptionists was the lucky winner.
