In the event of an emergency in the evenings or at weekends please telephone the surgery on 231817 and your call will be diverted directly through to the Shropdoc Out of Hours service.
A trained nurse will assess your medical needs. If required, the nurse will arrange for you to be contacted to attend a timed appointment at the Shropdoc base, Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. Advice may be sufficient.
If you are housebound or it would be inappropriate for you to travel, a home visit can be arranged.
The doctors who work for SHROPDOC are trained General Practitioners. Occasionally, a registrar General Practitioner will be on duty under the supervision of one of the local doctors.
The details of the consultation and treatment you receive are confidential and are forwarded to your surgery when it next opens.
Patients requiring stitches, or with suspected broken bones, are advised to go directly to the A&E department at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital / Princess Royal Hospital (or nearest A&E).
For immediate paramedic assistance, dial 999.
