Test Results

bullet

If you have had X-rays or blood tests etc., you may enquire about the results without seeing the doctor.

bullet

All results are screened by the doctor and it is your responsibility to contact the Surgery for your results 3 or 4 days after the specimen has been sent to the laboratory.

bullet

Normal test results will be given over the telephone. However you may be asked to make an appointment with the doctor to discuss the result.

bullet

Please note that the rules of confidentiality do not allow us to give test results to anyone other than the patient.

bullet

Please telephone after 2 p.m. for test results as this frees the 'phone lines in the morning for people with acute illness to seek help.  It also allows time for the Clinicians to check your result.
