Antenatal Care
All the doctors provide care during normal pregnancy, delivery and post-natally. Most patients deliver in the General Practitioner Unit at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. However if special care is needed, we share the care with the local hospital consultants. The Midwife runs an antenatal clinic at the Surgery on Wednesday mornings. Please make an appointment through Reception.
Valerie Bowen, Practice
Nurse, runs the
Asthma Clinic. Appointments are sent to patients for regular review.
The 'Well Baby Clinic' is run by the Health Visitors every Tuesday between 11.30 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. It is a drop-in clinic for advice and support (no appointment is necessary).
A
Continence Adviser visits our Surgery in the afternoons on the second Monday of
every month. This service is for
any adult.
Mrs.
Margaret Newton holds a number of sessions a week on Monday and Tuesday
afternoons and Thursday mornings.
Drs. Peter Crow and Rachel Wills run these clinics with the assistance of our nurses. Clinic appointments are sent when review is due.
Sister Michele Davies is available to discuss menopause problems and is happy for you to make an appointment to see her if you would like advice.
A Midwifery Sister works with us and sees patients both at the Surgery and at home. She runs an antenatal clinic by appointment at the Surgery on Wednesday mornings.
We carry
out a variety of minor surgery procedures at the Surgery. Apart from the
routine "lumps and bumps", we undertake cryotherapy for warts etc.
Jean Denton and
Alan Leigh provide a physiotherapy service within the Surgery.
Please see a doctor for an initial assessment. Occasionally it may be
appropriate to arrange a telephone consultation, for example if
physiotherapy has been advised following an accident or surgery. (Some of the physiotherapy leaflets available from your physiotherapist or doctor have been put onto this website for your convenience. Click here to view.)

Disease In SHropshire).
The slimming club is run on Monday evenings (not Bank Holidays) between 5.30 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. by volunteers of the Friends of Radbrook Green Surgery. Members encourage each other to eat healthily and to lose weight. The Practice Nurse is available every week for any queries or concerns you may have. You do not have to be a patient of the Practice to join, everyone is welcome. It costs £1 per time and the money raised goes towards buying equipment for the Practice. If you want to join, contact Sally Joyner on (01743) 364758 or contact the Surgery on (01743) 231817.
Do you want to give up smoking? Sister Emma Fewtrell is in charge of the 'Help to Quit' programme and you can make an appointment for advice and support by contacting the Surgery.
Travel
advice is given by our nurses. Please ensure that you leave enough time to
have all the injections required well before your holiday.
A
